Daft Punk is playing at my house!

Sike! I had you on your feet didn’t I, don’t lie!

The two albums I’m rocking out to are Sound of Silver and LCD Soundsystem (self titled) by LCD Soundsystem. Yeah they’ve been around for a while, but I don’t give a fuck. They’re dope, Imma expose them to people who have not heard about them.

A little about them:
It is a bit of punk with a bit of dance, and a bit of disco (and other things too). These three main ingredients cooks up a mean bit tasty dish of sounds we call LCD Soundsystem. This is a musical project founded by producer, James Murphy.

(From left to right: Al Doyle, Nancy Whang, James Murphy, and Phil Skarich)
  • James Murphy – vocals, instruments

When performing live, Murphy is accompanied by the following band members:

  • Al Doyle – guitar, percussion (also of Hot Chip)
  • J.D. Mark – guitar
  • Phil Skarich – bass
  • Nancy Whang – keyboards, synthesizer
  • Pat Mahoney – drums

Few things to note:
Their 2007 album release, Sound of Silver was nominated for the 2007 shortlist prize but didnt win, only losing to The Reminder by Feist. Aww c’mon, but yeah her song “1234” was pretty catchy. Another thing was James and Nancy were on Soulwax’s Documentary called Part of the Weekend Never Dies. And Nancy was also vocals for Soulwax’s track called “NY Lipps” (or NY Excuse).
